Annie is a DONA-trained Birth and Postpartum Doula serving families in Asheville and the surrounding areas. She views Birth Work as a calling and a culmination of all of her professional and personal experience. As a holistic Doula, Annie’s background in Massage Therapy and Clinical Herbalism, her studies in Contemplative Psychology, working with families as a long term Nanny and her more recent deep dive into Grief Work and Somatic Experiencing all shape how she shows up in the birth space and in life. Her practice is deeply rooted in reverence for this land and these mountains, for the body and for the cycles of nature, holding at her center a belief in the interconnectedness of all things. She is passionate about Perinatal nutrition and cooking nourishing meals for families using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Annie is dedicated to providing client-centered, inclusive, trauma-informed care that honors her clients intuition, body, beliefs and choices. 

When she’s not at a birth, you can usually find her sitting at her loom weaving, playing outside, swimming in local rivers, cooking big meals for friends, or hanging out with her kittyboi Ari, and her goofy pup, Augie.
