Since 2008, Jenna has been walking alongside new and growing families, offering grounded, heart-centered support through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She began her journey as a birth and postpartum doula, enchanted by the sacred transformation that happens when families welcome a new life. Her deep commitment to empowering parents led her to become a licensed midwife in California in 2014, where she spent eight years attending out-of-hospital births, offering evidence-based childbirth education, and witnessing firsthand the beauty and wisdom of physiological birth.
After moving to North Carolina in 2023, Jenna returned to doula work, blending her holistic midwifery background with intuitive advocacy, practical education, and gentle emotional presence. She believes that every family deserves a birth experience rooted in respect and autonomy, no matter where or how the birth unfolds. She also recognizes that sometimes, medical intervention is needed, and supports families to incorporate unexpected events when necessary.
With experience in all birth settings, Jenna brings calm confidence and evidence-based care to each family she serves. She continues to expand her knowledge through advanced trainings such as the Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner, The Advocacy Training with Intentional Birth, and a Master’s Degree in Maternal Child Health Systems. Her studies in perinatal psychology, newborn oral mobility, and the microbiome further deepen her understanding of the interconnectedness of body, mind, and environment.
Jenna’s perspective is also shaped by her own journey—birthing her son at home in 2015 and navigating parenthood as a solo mother after her husband’s passing in 2016. Her lived experience brings empathy, resilience, and profound respect for the diverse ways families grow.
When she’s not supporting families or working to improve maternity care, you’ll find Jenna exploring the mountains, tossing a round of disc golf, or snuggling her two beloved cats.
