Katie is grounded in her crafts as a birth doula, herbalist, and facilitator. As a doula, she sees it as her job to hold space for the transformative and unique-to-you Ritual that is the birthing process. Katie strives to maintain culturally responsive atmospheres and shows up to ensure you are informed, cared for and nourished, carrying with her an innate desire to help people feel seen, heard, and held. She encourages clients to deepen their relationship with their own intuition and backs them up with the trauma-informed, evidence based practices she has honed through her robust training. Katie has a vast capacity for deeply listening to the needs of any given moment and she is honored to use this skill in service to the profound portal that is birth. Her work in this field is a reverent celebration of the potency and transformation so often found in the liminal place of bringing a child into the world!

Katie has been immersed in study of the Life/Death/Rebirth cycles for over a decade. She began supporting births as a doula in 2021 and regularly pursues professional and personal development to enrich her offerings. As much as Katie thrives building meaningful human-to-human connections, she also fosters deep relationships with the plant kingdom. As an organic farmer and trained practicing herbalist, she supports clients with nutritional recommendations and herbal allies for all phases of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Katie also carries sensitivity to grief and loss and is available to support folks through the tender journey of pregnancy loss.

Katie lives on Cherokee land in what we now refer to as Swannanoa, North Carolina. Here you may find Katie singing, dancing, drumming, putting her toes in the water, or exploring with a lens of curiosity.
