Meet Paulina:

Paulina (they/them) is a queer and non-binary full spectrum doula and perinatal yoga teacher residing on occupied Cherokee land (presently known as Asheville, NC). Paulina is very passionate about being a continuous student in the world of birth as well as staying open to what yoga has to teach us. Combining yoga and the perinatal space is a meeting of two of their greatest passions!

Paulina approaches birth doula work with their 3 E’s: evidence-based, empathetic support, and effective advocacy. They also draw on their personal qualities which include yogic principles, a grounded presence, and the desire to provide deep companionship. They hope to bring love, joy, and healing to those they work with.

Paulina loves being able to serve all families and offers a free initial 30-minute meet and greet as well as sliding scale rates and flexible payment plans. They also have a special interest in creating affirming birth experiences for queer, non-binary, and trans birthing people, as well as for families in arrangements beyond the binary. Each family is unique, and they look forward to curating their services to meet you where you're at. Paulina describes their support style as inclusive and affirming, evidence-based, community-focused, with a dash of light-hearted humor, and a sprinkle of mountain magic.
